The reason that this series died a death was that, for the most part, the music I listen to is of a certain type and that certain type of music is played by sensible people wearing sensible footwear. Let’s face it “here’s a picture of a sensible chap wearing sensible shoes” doesn’t really make for a particularly interesting blog post…anyway…

#21 – Robert Forster wearing the shoes you just know he always wears.
Having lived for some years under the influence of the Robert Forster guide to hair care (I have the Redken shampoo, though tortoise-shell combs are understandably hard to come by), I can’t help feeling that the world is crying out for a full length Forster Manual of Male Grooming.
When Robert played Manchester this week, his shoes were expensive-looking, patent leather winkle-pickers with a slight upward curve in the toe. They said “confidently stylish” rather than “sensible”.
