		<description>Aren&#039;t Last.fm naughty? Treating different versions of Speed King as though they were interchangeable... their version sounds like it was done post-&#039;80s reunion, and isn&#039;t a patch on the original.

I think my 1980/81 self was more over to the right (!) on your diagram (I didn&#039;t get Motorhead until I was much older, but now they&#039;re probably favourite among all these bands). Curious that you put Gillan in the metal bracket, though. Maybe for Glory Road, but the Future Shock period seems like Deep Purple by another name: New Orleans is a remake of Speed King, and Mutually Assured Destruction is a (very loose!) remake of Child in Time... Not that it matters a toss, of course.

Sorry about the b*ggered up stylesheet and other bugs in Music Arcades at the moment. I&#039;m in an ongoing tussle with Typepad about it, and I&#039;m not winning.</description>
